The Korean War Memorial Improvements – Lake Pacawa’s causeway is now renovated with a sturdy and adjustable articulating block cells. The causeway was originally constructed with cast-in-place concrete which cracked and chipped at the water line due to undermining caused by wave action and ice damming. Janke, along with the engineer and owner, determined that a product was needed that was able to move and yet be sturdy because of the side slopes of the causeway being susceptible to undermining. Janke’s teamwork was essential in installing the articulating block with the confined site conditions and water surrounding the causeway.
